December 1st City Tree Lighting
First a very special THANK YOU to everyone singing next weekend at the city tree lighting. This is a great opportunity for the chorale and we are very honored to be asked to be the entertainment. It is of course, not possible without the willingness and commitment of our members, Josh, Caroline and our show band!
WHAT: The Chorale will be performing for the entire city event immediately following the annual lighted parade. The format will be similar to our concerts, include upbeat, secular tunes and we will have Jack, Billy and David playing with us. A ‘show order’ will be provided Saturday upon arrival to the event.
WHEN: Sound System set-up will begin at 4:30pm. Band arrives at 5pm. Call for all members will be 5:30pm. Performance will begin somewhere between 7:15 and 7:30. The event is over at 9pm. Note: the parade starts at 6:30 and the tree lighting will immediately follow the parade. We begin singing immediately following the tree lighting/fireworks, but that time is not exact.
WHERE: Town Center Plaza, 255 Parkway Blvd. (behind the building). We plan to sing from the steps toward the plaza.
PARKING: Members can park in any available lot around the plaza. The closest lot is on the west side of the building off Town Center Blvd - see map. No parking pass necessary. GREEN ROOM: The city will provide us a room/ area inside Town Center to store personal items and warm up during our break, etc.

ATTIRE: Chorale Blue Shirts, jeans are fine. If you need to borrow a chorale shirt, you will be able to do so at rehearsal Monday, November 26. We will be outdoors and it will be cold - dress appropriately. Wearing coats, hats, gloves, scarves etc. is acceptable: getting sick for the sake of the chorale is not. The Chorale can loan a few ‘chorale blue’ hats and scarves as needed.
EXTRAS: We will be outdoors, it will be night, the actual lighting set-up for the event is unknown and we will not know for sure how well lit our area will be until the sun goes down that night. IF YOU HAVE A BOOK LIGHT, IT WOULD BE WISE TO BRING IT TO THE EVENT.
