NEWS UPDATES:

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with guidelines set by the Director.
2. Be on time for rehearsals.
3. Learn the music.
4. Display a positive attitude during rehearsals (limit the chatter).
5. Promote a positive image in the community.  Show your pride in the Chorale!
6. Encourage community attendance at concerts by helping with publicity and selling tickets.  Each member can
pick up advance tickets to sell for each concert.  Either the unsold tickets or money for the tickets must be
returned.  Members are responsible for lost tickets.
7. Be willing to serve on a committee.
8.  Consider serving on the Board.

ATTENDANCE:
Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Coppell Center for the Arts.  Regular
attendance is essential to maintain the quality of any vocal ensemble.  It is recommended that members attend at
least 70% of the rehearsals for each concert.  Members are responsible to register their own attendance at
rehearsal.  (GRAB YOUR NAME TAG AND WEAR IT!)

If a member exceeds the maximum allowable absences, but wishes to perform in the concert, he/she may be
requested to sing for the Director to determine the singer's preparedness.  Rehearsal day/times will be announced
well in advance so that the Chorale members may be aware of any changes or additions to the regular Monday
night schedule.

A dress rehearsal is held before each concert.  All members should be in attendance unless otherwise arranged with
the Director.  Concert attire is NOT required at the dress rehearsals.

DUES:
The dues for the 2012 Season are $
40 per semester.

MUSIC:
Each singer will receive a copy of the music selections that he/she is expected to sing with the Chorale.  All music
will be marked with the singer's folder number and it is the singer's responsibility after he/she pays their dues for
the semester.  Music is to remain at the rehearsal location until dues are paid, and then may be taken home.  Music
is to be given back to the Chorale and placed in the music library where the group will have access to the copies if
they wish to sing the selection at a later time.  Singers are expected to mark their individual copies of music with
pencil for breathing, diction, rhythm, dynamics, etc.

ATTIRE:
Attire for each concert varies.  The board will make all concert attire decisions and notify members well in advance
of each performance.
